Say what? Stay in a restored colonial home set in the middle of a thriving farm in Costa Rica? Done. Located at less than 2 hours east of San Jose in the heart of the lush agricultural region of Turrialba, this beautiful setting is bordered by La Angostura Lake, flanked with the looming presence of the Turrialba mountains. The result? One stunningly amazing landscape.

Casa Turire offers twelve rooms and four suites, all highly decorated in a unique, colonial plantation style. Hardwood floors, open ceilings and private balconies offer you a wonderful view of the mountains. Each balcony was designed with furniture made of wood cultivated in the plantations. The bed frames in the rooms are made of fine timber, complemented with flowery linens and soft stucco walls. Each room welcomes you with direct dial phones, satellite tv, irons and ironing boards, hair dryers and personal and beauty care products in the bathrooms. The four suites include a living room and mini bar. The Master Suite in Casa Turire promotes the perfect environment. The first floor has a living room which is exquisitely decorated with antiques and has a perfect balcony for 15 people to enjoy tea or a cocktail in the afternoon. A spiral staircase rises to the main room which includes air conditioning and a beautiful jacuzzi.

The tour to the farm is an experience that permits guests to learn about the operation and work in a plantation while enjoying all the abundance involved in it. Private transportation takes the guests through a informative tour of the 200 acres plantation and it includes stops in the treatment plants. Coffee, macadamia and sugar cane are processed in the same area. During picking time, from July to November, guests can pick coffee in the way it is traditionally done in Costa Rica.
